The best bakery! Clare has the kindest heart and it really translates into her baked goodies. Her cakes are absolutely amazing and our story is even more special because she actually helped deliver our twins 3 years ago! She was amazing as our doctor and amazing as the baker for our twins’ 3rd birthday cakes and cupcakes. They were beautifully decorated and everyone kept telling us how delicious they were. Her cakes really have the homemade flavor that we cannot seem to find anywhere else. Our favorite is the confetti cake with American buttercream. The croissants are the most flaky buttery goodness you’ll ever taste. If you’re looking for a bakery, look no further you will not be disappointed!

The absolute cutest spot! We ordered a custom cake for my son’s fourth birthday and it was a hit! Both on decorations and taste. Can’t recommend them enough!

My daughter introduced me to this place. As she had them do her wedding cupcakes. She lives here and each time I visit, I try to stop by for French press and maybe a treat. Claire, the owner will always say "hi". Today is New Years Eve and in just 20mins...4 people stopped in to pick up Bozy Bookworm (New Years Eve for two). At the same time she just decorated a beautiful fruit topped cake. Next time you're near here...come by and try Claire's Dollop Shop.

I am so glad that I went with Dollop Shop for the cake for my parents’ 60th birthday party! Not only was it a beautiful cake, it was absolutely delicious. I know their order form says that they can’t guarantee an exact match to a photo you provide, but they very nearly did for me. It was exactly what I wanted. We are big fans of lemon cake in our family, so I had them do a lemon cake with lemon curd filling, lemon buttercream, and white chocolate ganache drizzle. Oh my goodness, it was incredible! One of our guests even commented that it was the best cake he had ever had. Everyone wanted to know where I had ordered it from. If you are looking for a speciality cake that not only looks nice but actually tastes great as well, Dollop Shop is the place to go. Just be sure to order well in advance - as I had tried to order a cake for another event previously and they were already booked up a few weeks ahead of time. It’s worth the extra planning though! Side note - I also tried their ham and cheese croissant on the day I picked up my cake, and that did not disappoint either. 5 stars all around. ☺️

I like to call this place Dr. Desserts😂since an actual Dr. is the owner & baker! You must check her out and she is so warm and delightful along with her staff🌟some things deco may have changed because I’m late with my review, yet I’m sure she continues to only exceed my expectations 🤩her desserts are plentiful. From cookies, cakes, brownies and Italian sodas…the vibe is unmatched and the desserts top notched. I also love how I can see the entire kitchen and watch the whole process. Make sure you go upstairs for an amazing atmosphere while enjoying your dessert. So many cool things about this place, it goes so far beyond a bakery 💕check her out.

Claire and the entire Dollop Shop team are incredible. We've ordered two birthday cakes from them and with just a rough idea of what we wanted, Claire pulled through and created the most perfect, creative, and delicious cakes!! Everything at the shop is incredible - I've never had anything that didn't make me say "this is the best thing I've ever tasted". The staff are friendly and helpful! I cannot recommend Dollop Shop enough - undoubtedly the best bakery in Toledo.

I'm way over due in posting a review for this place! I get all of my cakes here. Clare is incredible when it comes to design and they are all DELICIOUS. She also is great at helping pick flavor combinations! The most recent was a cute pre-K graduation cake, I sent some pics including a signature and Clare and her team nailed it yet again!

Stopped by The Dollop Shop while visiting from out of town, and it was such a delightful find! The first thing that caught my eye was a sign outside advertising lavender scones—one of my absolute favorite flavors and pastries combined. Naturally, I had to try one, and it did not disappoint! Light, fragrant, and perfectly balanced without that soapy aftertaste some lavender treats can have. If you love lavender, this is a must-try. I also picked up an Everything Bagel Danish, which was a fun and delicious surprise. The inside had the delicate, flaky layers of a croissant, while the topping gave it a crispy, savory finish. Such a unique twist on a classic flavor! There is even an option to have it warmed up! Beyond the amazing pastries, the shop itself is absolutely adorable. The interior design is exactly my kind of aesthetic—cozy, stylish, and thoughtfully put together. It’s the kind of place I’d love to have in my own town, perfect for grabbing a treat and getting some work done. Plus, there are plenty of outlets, making it a great spot for anyone looking for a charming workspace. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area—delicious pastries and a beautiful space to enjoy them!
